TORUS e-O-Ringen 2022

Torus e-O-Ringen is a start of O-ringen 2022 in Uppsala, using the same maps that will be used during the competition this summer. Similar to the real O-ringen, there will be 5 consecutive races, one each day (7-11 February), where all races count. The terrains and maps are of varying type. Races 1, 3 and 5 are forest races, with typical terrain for the area, whereas race 2 is in a more open area and race 4 is a city race inside Uppsala. For those planning to join the real O-ringen this summer, these races give a nice opportunity to enjoy the terrain beforehand.

There will be prices for the total winner of e-O-ringen, and for three randomly selected participants. The price will either be a starting fee for a race at real O-ringen or a nice t-shirt with the O-ringen logo.

Dear competitors!
After some years of thinking, the lack of Torus course setters in past years and my personal bad experience with renting a map for my next competition led me to an idea of a voluntary contribution for the Torus course setters and the server administration. I've set up a transparent account and if any of you feel like helping the people who are preparing this fun for you, you can send a small amount of money to this account. If you add a comment with the intended recipients, the whole sum will be sent to them, otherwise it will be divided among the currently running series. My idea is that 5 EUR per series is a reasonable contribution for both sides...
